| Slope Stabilization / Compost Blanket | |||||||||||||||||||
| This slope was badly rutted and vegetation wasn't growing quickly enough. The area was regraded and compost was sprayed with seed injected into it. This is called a compost blanket or terraseeding and is more effective than commonly used hydromulching. A filter sock was filled with compost and added horizontally at the top and bottom of the slope to control runoff. For steeper slopes or severe runoff situations, the same bonding additive used in our berms is added to make this compost blanket an Ecoblanket (TM). Texas Power Mulch is located in Houston, TX and will bid for erosion control work in most parts of Texas, including the coastal area.
